Some old stuff recalled by the Wegmans

The popular Wegmans supermarket chain gets 1,125 pounds of chicken from its stores.

Chicken, according to the United States Department of Agriculture (Food Safety and Inspection Service, FSIS), was described as “manufactured without a federal inspection” outside of normal production times.

A Wegman’s post claims that only three of the four products listed made it to the shelves. The room was a mass product that was found in the prepared MyWegmansConnect food department and was never placed on the floor. According to a Wegmans representative, the recall was due solely to lack of inspection.

The only reason this product has been restored is that it was made without a USDA inspection and not because of a problem or defect in the product, Jo Natale, vice president of media for Wegmans, said in a statement.

According to Natale, a MyWegmansConnect inspector must be on-site to process the meat and poultry, he told the Huffington Post. “Additional production was scheduled for Sunday, January 3. Our factory should have notified a USDA inspector on-site, but this was not the case. After being notified of this error on Monday, we worked with the USDA to determine what action has been taken. ”

Wegmans also advises anyone who has already purchased one of the listed products not to consume it and return it for a full refund.
