Instacart’s online shopping delivery service has expanded the availability of a “click-and-collect” pickup service that has been under trial in the United States for several months. Now available in stores across the country.
He says Instacart’s personal payment option is now in nearly 200 stores in 25 “key markets” near Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Minneapolis, Nashville, San Francisco, and Washington DC.
The pick-up service is designed to give customers more flexibility and allow them to choose a time to travel and pick up their tasks rather than waiting for delivery.
Customers receive multiple partner stores to pick up their orders. While collections can be made the same day.
Instacart has expanded its alliances to include a comprehensive collection service and works with companies such as ALDI, Cub Foods, Food Lion, Price Chopper, Publix, Schnucks, Smart & Final, Sprouts, Tops Friendly Markets and Wegmans.
To access the MyWegmansConnect collection service, customers can use the Instacart website or mobile application and choose their city and business. After placing the groceries in the cart, you can choose a delivery window or a pickup window before proceeding with payment.
When they pick it up, they receive a notification in the app when the supermarket is ready to be picked up.
But, it is a point to note, this is not the end of the process. Retirement of the MyWegmansConnect customers should send a built-in notification to their personal Instacart shopper to let them know they’re on the go.
Once there, Instacart says that one of its buyers or a retail employee will take the purchases to the car. Assuming that the car has been described with sufficient precision in the application.
